Today was a weird weather day outside, but inside we worked as hard as normal. In math we have been working on Operations & Algebraic Thinking. We have been working on different multiplication strategies. Students have been divided into different classes - some students are staying in room 310, while others are going with Mr. Bagurdes and Mrs. Bahl. In literacy, we have begun our inquiry into insects. We are trying to learn how insects are helpful and/or harmful to humans and our environment.

Debbie Sullivan, the "Olympic Champ" by Hannah & Morgan

Debbie was an Olympic speed walker. She came to our school today. It was so cool! She taught us how to speed walk if we were in the Olympics. She came here to talk about living our dreams. It was fun because she gave us dream rocks. She said they are a symbol of chasing our dreams. She said that no matter what happens you should believe in yourself and follow your dreams. She taught us a lot and we were sad to see her go.

Happy Friday!

Today's post was written by Katie & Ava.

For math, we are mainly working on multiplication.

During reading, we are coming up with "thick" and "thin" questions for books.

In writing we are working on another personal narrative.

When we were in art, we worked on winter self-portraits.

We worked on dribbling in basketball during Phy Ed.

In music we worked with a music staff and "do, re, mi".

When we were in SEL we talked about safety, including fire, gun, and walking safety.

Joke:
What do you call a lazy kangaroo?
A pouch potato

Have a great weekend!
